Portrait of Angeliki Karamanlaki, Greek polymer clay jewelry artist and designer of Anarina Anar

Angeliki Karamanlaki is a distinguished polymer clay artist based in Greece. Since 2008, she has been exploring the possibilities of polymer clay — experimenting with high-quality materials, techniques, and bold color combinations.

In 2012, she developed a unique artistic technique that has been featured and praised in international polymer clay magazines. Recognized by the global clay art community, her signature style enhances color, adds visual depth, and creates a three-dimensional, organic feel in every piece.

For Angeliki, polymer clay is a medium without limits. Her handmade jewelry is born through sculpting, shaping, and baking each piece at 120°C. The result is vibrant, lightweight, wearable art that carries a sense of magic and nostalgia — evoking the wonder of childhood and the joy of self-expression.

The name Anarina Anar holds deep personal meaning: “Anarina” combines the names of her two daughters, Anna and Eirini, while “Anar” represents her husband's roots. In Persian, “anar” means pomegranate — a powerful symbol of good luck, love, and abundance.

Every creation is carefully handcrafted in her seaside studio just outside Athens, where the natural surroundings inspire the shapes and colors of her work.

Her work is also featured at the Benaki Museum Shop in Athens — one of Greece’s most renowned cultural institutions — affirming the artistic value and uniqueness of her handcrafted jewelry.

With every piece, Angeliki shares a little story of creativity, freedom, and heartfelt craftsmanship.
