About

Angeliki Karamanlaki is a distinguished polymer clay artist based in Greece. She has been working with polymer clay since 2008 when she started to experiment with high quality polymer clay materials, techniques and colours. In 2012, she invented her own personal technique, which has been published and praised in international polymer clay magazines the following years. Her technique, recognized and admired by the polymer clay community, enhances the color of her works and creates a sense of depth and three-dimensional vision.

For Angeliki, polymer clay is a medium with limitless possibilities. Her handmade creations emerge from a sculpting, shaping, and baking process at 120 degrees Celsius. When she works, each piece takes on organic shapes, fueled by her inexhaustible inspiration. Her works are characterized by the unique way she combines vibrant colors with earthy forms. Her handmade jewelry can transport anyone wearing them back to their childhood, where life had something magical and a constant sense of exploration.

The name of her store, Anarina Anar, holds special significance as it expresses her love for her daughters and her husband, who are always by her side, constantly supporting her in her work. ‘Anarina’ combines the names of her daughters, Anna and Eirini and ‘Anar’ represents her husband's roots. In Iran, the word ‘anar’ means pomegranate and is used as a symbol of good luck.

She creates her art in her seaside studio near Athens.
